DESIGN
The Pearl Ovoid Bag is a sculptural bridal piece, shaped in an egg-inspired silhouette and finished with an intricate satin basket-weave texture.
Each bag is handcrafted to order in our East Anglia studio using approximately 75 metres of 50mm Berisfords double-faced satin ribbon, selected for its smooth lustre, structure, and refined finish.
The ribbon is made by a UK manufacturer dating back to 1858 and woven using 100% recycled yarns, with recycled yarns certified by GRS and Oeko-Tex.
Finished with a magnetic clasp closure, the bag can be customised at checkout with your choice of silver, gold, or rose gold alloy-plated clasp finish.

SHIPPING
Every bag is made to order and handcrafted in our East Anglia studio.
Orders are dispatched within 14 calendar days of the order date and payment confirmation.
If you require your order for a specific date, please email sales@uniquelynicoatelier.com before placing your order, and we will do our best to accommodate your request where possible.
When your order is on its way, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
Where possible, parcels are sent using a tracked and insured shipping service, with a signature required upon delivery.

International Delivery
Standard Tracked — 3–8 working days
International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, and/or other charges upon arrival in the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the shipping cost paid at checkout.
Uniquely Nico Atelier has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. We recommend contacting your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
We do not currently offer collection from the atelier.

Care
Our bags are handcrafted with care and should be treated gently to preserve their beauty, shape, and structure.
The Pearl Ovoid Bag is handwoven using Berisfords double-faced satin ribbon. While Berisfords’ satin ribbon care guidance states that the ribbon itself is machine washable at 50°C on a synthetics cycle, can be cool ironed up to 110°C, and should not be bleached, each UNA bag is a handcrafted structured piece with a magnetic clasp closure.
For this reason, we recommend gentle cleaning and careful handling rather than frequent machine washing.
Avoid overfilling, as excess weight may affect the bag’s structure over time. Carry light essentials only.
We recommend placing smaller items inside a pouch to help protect the interior and maintain the bag’s form.
Cleaning and Care
- Spot clean gently where possible using a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaning products.
- Do not soak the clasp or leave metal hardware wet.
- If washing is required, place the bag inside a protective mesh wash bag.
- Machine wash cold or at a low temperature on a gentle synthetics cycle with a low spin.
- Gently reshape while damp and leave to air dry naturally.
- Do not tumble dry the finished bag.
- Cool iron only if needed, avoiding direct contact with the clasp or structured areas.
- Store in the protective UNA dust bag when not in use.
RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
Each Uniquely Nico Atelier bag is made to order and handcrafted with care in our East Anglia studio.
Because each piece is created individually once an order has been confirmed, we are unable to accept cancellations or returns for change of mind on made-to-order, bespoke, personalised, or customer-specified items.
This includes customer-selected colours, materials, and closure finishes.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at sales@uniquelynicoatelier.com so that we can review the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
As each bag is handcrafted, slight variations in colour, texture, shape, or finish may occur and form part of the character of the piece.
