Each bag is handwoven using 50mm Berisfords double-faced satin ribbon, made by a UK ribbon manufacturer dating back to 1858. Chosen for its smooth, lustrous finish and refined structure, the ribbon is woven using 100% recycled yarns, with the recycled yarns certified by GRS and Oeko-Tex. This brings together British textile heritage, considered material selection, and UNA’s commitment to creating distinctive pieces with care.
The top handle is designed to sit comfortably over the shoulder, while the magnetic clasp closure keeps essentials secure without disrupting the bag’s refined form. At checkout, customers can choose their preferred alloy-plated clasp finish from silver, gold, or rose gold, allowing the bag to be customised to their styling.
Sized to fit an iPhone Pro Max with its case comfortably and discreetly, it balances practicality with polished design. Each bag is finished with a protective UNA dust bag for storage and care.

Ribbon Colour

As each UNA bag is handwoven, the finished appearance may vary slightly from the flat ribbon image due to the woven texture, light reflection, screen settings, and the handcrafted nature of the piece.
DESIGN
The Satin Ovoid Bag is a sculptural occasion piece shaped in a refined egg-inspired form and defined by the softness and elegance of its satin-woven finish. Its distinctive silhouette is both graceful and expressive, bringing together textile artistry, considered material selection, and couture craftsmanship.
Each bag is made to order by a crochet couturier using approximately 75 metres of 50mm Berisfords double-faced satin ribbon. Made by a UK ribbon manufacturer dating back to 1858, the ribbon has been chosen for its smooth, lustrous finish and refined structure. It is woven using 100% recycled yarns, with the recycled yarns certified by GRS and Oeko-Tex.
The ribbon is carefully worked by hand to create a rich basket-weave texture with a soft satin sheen. Every detail is considered, resulting in an occasion piece that feels distinctive, luxurious, and beautifully crafted by hand.
Finished with a magnetic clasp closure, The Satin Ovoid Bag can be customised at checkout with the customer’s preferred alloy-plated clasp finish. Choose from silver, gold, or rose gold to coordinate the finishing detail with jewellery, styling, or the wider event palette.

SHIPPING
Every bag is made to order and handcrafted in our East Anglia studio. To allow for the care and craftsmanship that go into each piece, orders are dispatched within 14 calendar days of the order date and payment confirmation.
If you require your order for a specific date, please email us at sales@uniquelynicoatelier.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request where possible.
When your order is on its way, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
Where possible, parcels are sent using a tracked and insured shipping service, with a signature required upon delivery.

International Delivery
Standard Tracked — 3–8 working days
International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, and/or other charges upon arrival in the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the shipping cost paid at checkout. Uniquely Nico Atelier has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. We recommend contacting your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
We do not currently offer collection from the atelier.

Care
Our bags are handcrafted with care and should be treated gently to preserve their beauty, shape, and structure.
This bag is handwoven using Berisfords double-faced satin ribbon. According to Berisfords’ satin ribbon care guidance, the ribbon itself is machine washable at 50°C on a synthetics cycle, can be cool ironed up to 110°C, and should not be bleached.
As each UNA bag is a handcrafted structured piece with a magnetic clasp closure, we recommend gentle cleaning and careful handling rather than frequent machine washing.
- Avoid overfilling, as excess weight may affect the bag’s structure over time.
- Carry light essentials only.
- We recommend placing smaller items inside a pouch to help protect the interior and maintain the bag’s form.
Cleaning and Care
- Spot clean gently where possible using a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaning products.
- Do not soak the clasp or leave metal hardware wet.
- If washing is required, place the bag inside a protective mesh wash bag.
- Machine wash cold or at a low temperature on a gentle synthetics cycle with a low spin.
- Gently reshape while damp and leave to air dry naturally.
- Do not tumble dry the finished bag.
- Cool iron only if needed, avoiding direct contact with the clasp or structured areas.
- Store in the protective UNA dust bag when not in use.
RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
Each Uniquely Nico Atelier bag is made to order and handcrafted with care in our East Anglia studio. Because each piece is created individually once an order has been confirmed, we are unable to accept cancellations or returns for change of mind on made-to-order, bespoke, personalised, or customer-specified items.
This includes customer-selected colours, materials, and closure finishes.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at sales@uniquelynicoatelier.com so that we can review the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
As each bag is handcrafted, slight variations in colour, texture, shape, or finish may occur and form part of the character of the piece.
