RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

Every Uniquely Nico Atelier bag is made to order and handcrafted with care in our East Anglia studio. As a small independent atelier, each piece is created individually once an order has been placed and confirmed.

Because our bags are made to order and produced according to the customer’s selected options, we are unable to accept cancellations once an order has been confirmed. We are also unable to accept returns for change of mind on made-to-order, bespoke, personalised, or customer-specified items.

This approach allows us to work thoughtfully, avoid unnecessary waste, and give each piece the time and attention it deserves.

Cancellations

Once an order has been placed and confirmed, it cannot be cancelled.

Returns

As each bag is made to order, we do not accept returns for:

  • change of mind
  • customer-selected colours
  • customer-selected closure finishes
  • bespoke or personalised orders
  • made-to-order pieces

Colour and Finish

Product colours are shown as accurately as possible, but may vary slightly due to screen settings, lighting, photography, and the way materials reflect light.

For satin bags, ribbon colour images may be provided as a guide to the Berisfords double-faced satin ribbon shade used to create your bag. These images show the ribbon before it is handwoven into the finished UNA Ovoid silhouette. As each bag is handcrafted, the final appearance may vary slightly from the flat ribbon image due to the woven texture, light reflection, and the handmade nature of the piece.

For metallic luxe cord bags, the finish may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, angle, and screen settings.

Slight colour, texture, or finish variations are not considered faults unless the item is materially different from what was ordered.

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at sales@uniquelynicoatelier.com so that we can review the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Please include:

  • your name
  • your order number
  • a brief description of the issue
  • photographs where relevant

If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item. Items sent back to us without first contacting us may not be accepted.

Refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will be made to your original payment method. We will notify you once we have received and inspected the returned item and confirm whether the refund has been approved.

If approved, your refund will be processed within 10 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or card provider to process and post the refund.

Exchanges

We do not currently offer exchanges, as each bag is made to order. If you are unsure about a colour, closure finish, or product suitability before placing your order, please contact us at sales@uniquelynicoatelier.com and we will be happy to help.

Important Information

Each bag is individually handcrafted, and slight variations may occur. These variations are part of the character of a handmade piece and will not be considered faults.

Your statutory rights are not affected.
